In a world of painting that responds to the art of the past, Daphne Eight is part of continuing body of work that plays with the paradoxical practice of visualising the impossible which painting reveals. It dissolves the familiar narrative, the solidified metaphor, opening up other meanings and feelings. This painting reversed the juxtaposition of surface textures of previous Daphne paintings and used more sombre colouring and has a richer surface.

Some Solo shows have been titled as “Divertimenta” and “Elusion and Revision”. Most recent solo show was entitled False Doors and Timeless Thresholds.
