An inquisitive Arab horse watching me, watching her. I live in an area of Gloucestershire where horses surround me and have been captivated by their beauty for as long as I can remember. The richness of the summer foliage and warm colours further enhanced this moment. Painted in Golden acrylics on a gesso board, the board has an edge of 2.5cm which remains white. 2 coats of Golden UV Matt varnish has been applied to the painting for protection. There are no fixings on the board but this painting could hang simply on 2 wall screws which would then be hidden from view.

I am an artist based in Gloucestershire, UK but originally from Perthshire, Scotland. I have been fortunate to exhibit in some prestigious institutions including Royal Academy, London, RWA, Bristol and RSA, Edinburgh. I trained in Fine Art Drawing and MFA Painting and have literally been drawing my whole life. My proudest achievement is having my ink drawing 'Ghoul School' in the permanent collection of Prints and Drawings at The British Museum. I was also delighted to receive 'Finest Drawing' award at the National Open Art Competition in 2013.
