Data Doppelgänger Painting

In the depths of the night hiss the gigantium serving machines hissing and blinking in the dark. That's where our other selves reside, our data doppelgängers. This painting evolved directly on the canvas and has layers which adds to the presence to the image. I like my paintings to look 'worked' into, with the painterly, editing and decision making process exposed on the canvas. This adds weight and texture to the painting. Colours come to the fore in the painting process too. Gold and blue dominate here. A combination utilised throughout the history of art, suggesting the celestial and the pre renaissance.
