Mariana Perissinotto is an artist born in Campinas (São Paulo, Brazil). In 2019 she became a Visual Arts student at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Since then, she has focused on artistic productions in the language of oil painting, having as their core theme the representation of human figures. In 2021 she was awarded first at the 17th Ubatuba Visual Arts Salon and took part in the 17th Guarulhos National Contemporary Art Salon. In 2022 she became an apprentice of the painter Bruno Passos, who studied with Odd Nerdrum. In the same year she was one of the resident artists of the EXL, a project aimed at women artists. Most of her works explore the self-portrait and portraits of female figures, seeking to express themselves through their feelings and human subjectivity. Themes such as the memory, the body and the feminine are recurrent in her work, always focusing on an interpretation of reality, to add her personal worldview to the figurative painting.
