This artwork was exhibited at Summer Exhibition (2024) at the Royal Academy of Arts in London,. The title symbolises the profound link between humanity and the cosmos. It explores the idea that within the depths of our being, there is an infinite space for growth, self-discovery, creativity and the realisation of our potential, just like the boundless and ever-expanding universe itself. This artwork portrays a combination of abstract landscape elements – nocturnal sky with falling stars, majestic mountains, and lush greenery, all intertwined with the human form. The artist has skilfully employed a vivid and rich palette, combining the layers of textured oil paint, and shimmering accents of silver leaf. The result is a bold, dynamic composition that captivates the eye with its distinctive and enchanting shape. Mixed media (oil paint, silver leaf, sand, wax) on four pieces of OSB board. Made in 2023

Diana Savostaite is a contemporary artist living and working in London. Her artwork reflects to the surroundings and is deeply inspired by the natural world and the everyday experiences. Diana's practice evolved through exploration and experimentation with various mediums, textures, and canvas shapes. Recently, she has been incorporating embroidery collages into her paintings, a nod to Diana's Lithuanian heritage and her upbringing in the countryside where embroidery was a significant part of life. These elements bring a personal and deeply rooted touch to the artwork, connecting past with the present. Diana create unique compositions by connecting various shaped canvases, allowing them to disrupt and interact with the surrounding space. This dynamic interplay emphasizes the ever-changing nature of life and the movement of energy through her art. Diana's formal education began at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania, where she earned her BA in Fine Arts/Painting in 2007. She is currently expanding her horizons further with an MA in Fine Art at the City & Guilds of London Art School. Over the years, Diana exhibited her work extensively, both in solo and group exhibitions, and have been honoured with several prestigious awards. Selected latest group exhibitions include the RA Summer Exhibition (2024), The Waverton Art Prize (2024), Jackson’s Art Prize (2024), Works on Paper at Blue Shop Gallery (2024), The Scalpel project by The Chaucer x Mall Galleries, (2024-2023). In 2021 Diana participated in the "Radical Residency VI" at Unit-1 Gallery|Workshop and exhibited her work at the end of residency show. Diana's artworks found a place in public collections, including The Chaucer Group at The Scalpel skyscraper in central London, and Blue Shop Gallery in London.
