The United States has seen unprecedented challenges that cut right to the core of our trusted institutions, and even threaten our democracy itself. Faced with so many layers of adversity, I find myself desperately and defiantly clinging to the hope that these dark days will eventually come to an end.

Jessica Saterstrom Eichman is an artist who works and lives in Nashville, Tennessee. A native of Natchez, Mississippi, Jessica earned degrees in Art and French before living and working in Paris, France; Corvallis, Oregon; and Boston, Massachusetts. Jessica’s award-winning works have been shown in numerous group and solo art exhibitions, including the Red Clay Survey of Contemporary Southern Art at the Huntsville Museum of Art in Huntsville, Alabama (2020); Nashville Metro Arts permanent public art collection in the Historic Metro Courthouse (2018); Frist Art Museum Bollard Project (2017); and permanent public sculpture, “City Irises” in Nashville’s Hermitage Park (2012). Jessica is a member of the Contemporary Collective and the Nashville Artist Guild. She is frequently featured on Saatchi Art; she was chosen for the Inside The Studio series in 2017, and was featured in the Saatchi Art printed catalog in 2019.
