Mahesh Sharma is an Indian artist who lives presently in New Delhi. Born in a quiet town in the foothills of Himalayas in Jammu & Kashmir, India, he retains the serenity and quietude as an underlying yet prominent feature of his works . An engineer by qualification, he showed interest in art and painting since his early childhood. He was attracted toward print making but left it halfway owing to its mechanical nature that he felt hindered his creativity. Without any formal training in art he experiments greatly and is not bound by any medium or any particular style of art. Most of his present day works are 'Brushless artworks' as he likes to call them and are developed in multiple layers. His paintings have been displayed by the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in the years 2008-09, 2009.-10, 2010--11, 2012-13 and are in the collection of various organisations and private collectors in India and abroad
