This painting came from a photograph of the actor Ralph Finnes. He was yelling, but it was a rather staged photo. I wanted to express nothing but pure anger and transformed his image into this intense, intense image of a demonic appearing man. It was quite cathartic for me. This painting took about nine hours. The color in the main photograph is not accurate. The background of the painting is a strong chartreuse green, and the face has slightly more yellow tones to it. The photograph in the additional image section shows the actual color of this painting accurately. However, the main photograph is sharper and shows the intensity of the colors better. Also, the tiny black strip on the upper left top of the main photograph does not exist in real life. I somehow got some background in this photo. Will take a new photo. I love this painting. It is BAM!
