Lori Markman

Lori Markman paints, draws and makes mixed media collages. Her work has been exhibited nationwide and can be found in many private collections in the US and in Europe.

Born in Los Angeles, Lori Markman received a BFA in Painting from UCLA along with an award for Special Achievement in Art.

Markman has shown her work nationally in solo shows including at StartUp Art Fair Venice, CA , Ace/121 Gallery, Burbank, CA., Gallery 825, Los Angeles, CA, the Sasse Museum of Art, Pomona, CA and Space Gallery, New Orleans, LA. She has also shown in small group shows and larger juried group shows, including at Thatcher Art Gallery, UCFS, Riverside Art Museum, NIU Art Museum, and the Masur Museum of Art.

Her work has been reviewed in the Los Angeles Times, and by the University of California at San Francisco, Department of Art. She was interviewed by Bold Journey Magazine, November 5, 2025, by Shoutout LA, May 14, 2025, and by the ArtWorld Post, August 2024. She has received jurors awards for her work by ShockBoxx Gallery, and NIU Art Museum.
