ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have been working in the theme of shame and desire with an intuitive painting style. I wanted to break down the polarity between shame and desire and explore their relationship and nature. By observation and exploration I was liberated from their grip and crossed over to a place of freedome and expanded consiousness. Horisontal across the middle are stiches in red thread. Note that the painting is shipped rolled and has staple marks on the sides from previous exhibition in a gallery. This is not a problem for streching it again though.

I paint mostly with acrylics on canvas, using bold brush strokes and palette knife to create structures. My art is characterized by vivid colors and clear forms, with a figurative style on the edge of becoming abstract. The human figure and the portrait is a main motif, creating new forms when overlapped and painted in different colors. I play with the borders of figurative and abstract and strive for balance and contrast in color.
