ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting's name is "Dissociation" and it was inspired by the phase I'm going through, struggling with my mental illness.The feeling I want to convey through the painting is confusion, unclarity and distortion,like the way my eye and brain function when I'm experiencing an episode of dissociation and everything just feels unreal and blurry. I used oilcolors on canvas as it gives me a lot of freedom to mix and layer when painting and using brushes.
