About The Artwork
This work is part of a small collection of paintings called 'Diversion', rooted in North London where I live and work. It is a playful exploration of the pull between opposing directions; here I expanded the theme to include misdirection through mirrors, and placed myself in the image. This painting features a typically-London underground station platform; you can see the train arriving in the old-style circular mirror. I used acrylic on linen canvas, which I stretched myself. It is designed to be displayed unframed, and comes equipped with d-rings for hanging.
