ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting reminds me of my great grandma who had no issue with doing incredibly stupid things to make me laugh. I wanted to paint it in colours that are sweet and pretty- too sickly for me to use usually. I want this painting to make you laugh but its kind eyes might make you smile as well.

Rachael Eden was born in Whitley Bay in North Tyneside and studied at the University of Brighton receiving her BA Hons in Fine Art Painting in 2015. Eden works within her own sci-fi universe, weaving a narrative with seemingly disparate images. She works instinctively; leafing through books and magazines until an image or story grabs her. Her work can be read in many different ways with each viewer projecting their own ideas and narrative onto it.
