"Dorothy the Hollywood years" Painting

Having spent the last few years as a Creative Arts Tutor for a post 16 Alternative Provision (where I also studied for a Diploma in Art Therapy), I have now decided to concentrate on creating my own portfolio, and am working on producing art that is unique, original and exciting. As an artist I enjoy a range of forms, but my preferred style is abstract (mainly because it breaks the rules of realism) and I feel the energy of this particular approach. I generally use brushes and palette knives, but as I harmonise with the canvas I will use a variety of media as the creative process develops.​ My work, and the way I work, is very diverse because I constantly get inspiration from all around me. I do not want to limit myself, so am able to cover a wide range of ideas, and I thrive in having the freedom that abstract work creates - it gives me a more emotional art style.
