ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"It’s from simplicity and recklessness typical of kids that often, common situations are approached with a totally new and creative way which bring to a new life reality, transforming it into a dream. It is not easy to maintain the foundations for growing with a pure vision (often interpreted as idiocy) that knows how to lead beyond the obstacle trying to bring to life desires, but when this happens the soul pushes itself towards a starry sky to be discover but somehow deeply familiar, cause so ardently dreamed of." For this reason I wanted to use these elements like the astronaut which was only a normal person who, thanks to his pure view is able to transform the situation into his own dream, shocking also a Teletubbies, which represent his own child soul. The pigeon instead want to represent the common people's judgments who tell about simple person, they are stupid. The base where are stand is apparently soft but this can cause the fall of the dreamer.

Stefano Borella (b. 1991) approaches art thanks his mom’s passion for drawing, ceramic decoration and sculpture. This multifaceted vision allows the artist to test his figurative vocation which easily finds its own expression analyzing the link between feelings and images. His artistic identity is expressed through the essence of black like a free approach to the creation, mainly focusing over emotions and sensations. In his works redundant is the usage of dissonant elements, useful to underline the artist's "tragicomic" vision who try to answer to the big questions of life.
