Alexander Nikolaevich Ivanov (creative pseudonym Alexander Ivanov-Nikolsky) currently lives in Kharkiv and teaches academic drawing to architects, artists and designers at the A.N.Beketov Kharkiv University of Urban Economy. He is the member of the Academy of Russian Literature and Fine Arts named after G.R. Derzhavin (St. Petersburg), the member of the International Art Foundation.(Moscow) In 2014 he was awarded the medal "For Merits in Culture and Art" In 1973 he graduated from the I. Repin Art School. In 1984. KIMCE ( Kharkiv Institute of Municipal Construction Engineers ) in Kharkiv, specialization - architecture. In the 70s, he studied graphics and pointillism with Hungarian graphic artist Sandor Legradi and graphic animator Istvan Oros. He took painting lessons from artists : Ivan Babenko , Vladimir Shepetin, Nikolay Shevchenko. Alexander Ivanov writes in a mixed technique - pastel, tempera, ink, feather-hair (pointillism) and scratching with a pen on a ground surface (grattage). His works of A. are in private collections and galleries in Canada, Germany, Australia, the Czech Republic, South Africa and others.
