Starting my education at School of Fine Arts in Wrocław, I never thought that art would become not only my source of upkeep, but also a means of communicating my thoughts, emotions and reflections to the external world. Having received complex artistic education, I have been dealing with the interior design and the design of small architecture elements for many years. In 2009 I started my studies at Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts, and in 2013 obtained my bachelor's degree at Painting and Sculpture Department in the studio of professor Janusz Jaroszewski. At present I started my studies for the master's degree at the Painting and Sculpture Department and Architecture Department. My paintings include situations reflecting humane psychic state. I expose the objects, which by their nature are opposed to physicality and psyche of a man. Such forms seem interesting to me, as both form and matter, being contrasted, allow to enhance some of the features of character and to present the diversity of behaviour and mood, as well as relations between people. I use canvas as a base, as because of its elasticity and resistance it enables multiple and varied development of the same surface, similarly to an individual personality, which is formed by life experience and the society a person lives in. In my works I try to capture the picture of an individual, set in the realia of the contemporary world. --- Melancholy of Lidia Kokoszka Thinking of works of master's degree candidate Lidia Kokoszka, me being her promotor, the first word irresistibly coming to my mind is melancholy. This psychical inclination to wistfulness and meditation, to regarding the reality through the prism of mood, atmosphere and aura of the place and the time is an immanent feature she is constantly lead by. And the artist must yield to be lead by it, willingly or unwillingly, in order to be herself and nobody else. Each strong personal characteristics becomes of some problem for a developing artist, as it excludes compromise with the other, less intensive features. The only solution is to put up with oneself as he or she is, accept one's differentness, and even concentrate on it. To find the way of intensification of one's individual tendency. Lidia Kokoszka has succeeded in it, she has recently put the first step on her artistic way.
