About The Artwork
This painting is called "Dune" and taking so many regal and ancient symbolisms including the Egyptian deity Anubis, protector of the after life. Behind sands and a hidden frame from desert canyons, this painting represents for me the powerful mystical history we have within our selves and how our nature and environment is part of something bigger than we are. A more masculine part of myself. Every wooden piece was manually cut and painted mixing metallic pigments and acrylic paint and the rectangle base from oil paints. Different textures and finishes to make the levels pop even more.
