ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Near Heteren, Netherlands (biggest large city is Arnhem) I was painting just along the highway when I spotted a large group of horses under a bridge. As I managed to get closer they moved off aways beyond the cover of the bridge south of Heteren. Once I finally had my easel and oil paints set up, they had stopped moving and I was able to do this plain air "study" of the horses right up against the river Rhine.
