Alex Di Silvestro is an Italian-born international portrait artist. His creative career began in early-2000s London, where he worked professionally in fashion illustration and visual arts, before co-founding a luxury fashion brand & boutique with his wife, British designer - couturier Candy Anthony. In 2018, a visit to the Dalí Museum in the Spanish Costa Brava marked a decisive turning point in his career. Confronted with Salvador Dalí’s distinctive gaze and genius multidisciplinary artistic vision, Di Silvestro shifted his focus from illustration to painting, entering an intense period of experimentation and creative exploration. Dalí soon became Di Silvestro's muse and the catalyst to his new artistic career and global success. Working intuitively rather than academically, he developed a bold, contemporary minimalist language defined by clean lines, flat surfaces, the absence of visible brushstrokes and vibrant colour. His subjects, human and animal, are transformed into iconic, timeless interpretations that balance visual impact with emotional depth. His Dalí Portrait series gained early recognition and laid the foundation for his ongoing ICONIC PORTRAITS body of work. Within only a few years, his artworks attracted returning art collectors, international buyers, sponsorships, commercial partnerships and professional attention worldwide. His story has also been featured on UK Channel 4 television, and his work has been exhibited internationally.
