ENERGY IN MOTION Painting

Born and raised in Melbourne, Victoria moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2014 in order to be closer to the natural world that surrounds and to live the coastal, laid-back lifestyle. With over 20 years of experience as a self-taught artist exploring different mediums, Victoria eventually came to find her creative voice through resin. With an extensive list of private collections featured across Australia and the world, Victoria takes inspiration from the natural environments, elements and formations as a guide to inform her work. The ocean being her muse, she observes and creates in order to evoke the essence of the water, and through her work, pay tribute to nature by re-creating an experience that one might feel when immersed in nature. The intention being to remind us of the connection we each hold with nature and the importance of how nature can teach us. Victoria is innately driven to create work that transforms a space, simultaneously to work as little reminders that the natural world surrounding us is in a constant state of beautiful flux. Captivated by aerial views of the ocean, Victoria uses resin as her primary medium. Working with resin enables the work to resemble the transparency and fluidity of water, and by constructing different dimensions, she is endlessly seeking to capture a feeling that depicts the depth of the waters presence. Her work aims to speak to those who find solace in nature and long for the call of the sea.
