ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This work is inspired by my travels around Europe during an exchange trip to the Cité International des Arts in Paris. The Hague is infinitely quiet in the early morning, and this small city, which collects the great works of Rembrandt and Vermeer, is picturesque. Looking relaxed and at ease, this elderly man was walking his dog down a deserted street.
