Liz H Lovell

About the Artist

Liz H Lovell

Australia

Liz is an Australian artist based in Sydney. Her artworks are based on a variety of different aspects everyday observations.
My work explores the relationships between people, plants, wildlife, and the natural environment, highlighting our deep dependence on nature not only for survival but also for beauty, healing, and emotional wellbeing. I am interested in the ways we connect with the world around us and how these connections shape our everyday experiences.
Through my practice, I celebrate the beauty found in ordinary, often overlooked moments and objects, encouraging viewers to pause and appreciate the significance of what is easily taken for granted

Liz has featured in the ArtEdit Magazine, Best of Flora and Fauna , 2018 and finalist for the Petite Pieces exhibition with Aspire Gallery in Brisbane in 2023. Liz has had a number of exhibitions both group and solo, The Other Art Fair 2018, White Rhino Artspace 2019, Hornsby Art Society and Gallery 307 in Northbridge.

Always drawing from the moment she could pick up a pencil, Liz has nurtured a lifelong passion for art. After beginning her career in investment banking and completing a Master of Commerce at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), she followed her enduring artistic calling by earning a Diploma of Visual Arts. She further developed her practice through studies at the National Art School, Julian Ashton Art School, Art Est, and other Sydney institutions.
