ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Like much of Los Angeles, the Echo Park neighborhood has undergone dramatic gentrification. While I lived there I was inevitably a participant in that process. I began by researching what buildings, landmarks, and neighbors were there before me, what has stood by as the neighborhood has changed, and what is to come. Painted with opaque watercolor (gouache) on archival paper. Signed lower right under the image and on the back. Unframed. Paper size: 12" x 12". Artwork size: 10.625" x 9.625".
