Do you love patterns? Me yes, and so, time and again, there are patternlike elements in my paintings, like in this small, fine work. "Ice Blue Gold" is an original painting reminiscent of an abstract sky. Metallic gold elements float in an abstract landscape and catch the light. I am an abstract painter from Germany. I paint and draw in mixed media on canvas, paper and other surfaces. My paintings are an emerging process, usually beginning with lots of colour, exploring concepts of layering, transformation and ethereal qualities, towards a state of calm, lightness. The world out there is often noisy and restless and life is not always a happy place. We have a lot in our minds. There is this longing for rest, relaxation and harmony, at least in our homes.
