ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A painting inspired by by the legend of Canigou Dragon! According to this legend, Pierre d'Aragon climbed Mount Canigou with his men. The ascent being very difficult, only Pierre continued. As he approached the summit, a violent thunderstorm broke out. Peter threw a stone into a pond and out came an angry dragon. So Peter turned back. Anne Zamo seeks to share the beauty and daily wonders surrounding us and that we do not always know how to look at, to make us dream by being inspired by nature, everyday objects or emotions that she feels: butterflies, insects, flowers, animals, cheese, fruit, croissants, tomatoes or even landscapes are all subjects that she sublimates to transmit her wonderment. As in old master technique painting, she uses beautiful materials, stretches her canvases, makes her own mediums and uses high quality extra fine pigments oil paint. This is a 92 x 65 cm (36.2 x 25.5") oil painting, on a high quality linen canvas she stretched herself. It will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity, ready to hang and signed on front. Sold unframed.

Sharing the beauty and daily wonders surrounding us! Anne Zamo is a french artist based in Céret, South of France. Influenced by Dutch painters (Rembrandt, Jérôme Bosch) and by the Old master techniques that she learned in Nathalie Beurier's Art Studio, she uses extra-fine colours as Old Holland and Blockx (Dali's favourite colours) that give bright colours and provide stability over time compared to paintings made with additives. She has exhibited in France (Salon des Artistes Français Art Capital, Salon du Réalisme etc) , Spain (Barcelona, Reus, Lloret de Mar...) and the UK (SOFA in London, MIWAS at Rookesbury Manor Wickham, David Shepherd Foundation The Mall Galleries). Her artworks are in private collections in France, Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, United States, Switzerland, Hong-Kong... Commissions are welcome. She lives in Ceret, a town where came Dali and Picasso.
