Located in downtown Santa Barbara this building was once a military outpost for the Spaniards to defend Santa Barbara. The Presidio is known to be the last outpost built by Spain in the “New World.” The building was completed in 1782 and over the years it has been renovated. It is now a designated California Landmark. The Presidio Chapel is used for civic events and celebrations.
