ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Pond stories is about luminous, transparent water and textured foliage. This was truly magical to paint. It was also challenging to get the many layers correct in order to create a luminosity in the water. I am often attracted to simple little mini landscapes...ones that most others would pass by and ignore. But I turn them into painted stories, intimate places. Another interest for me is that when I return to the location where the inspiration was...it has changed. Therefore, this painting captures a moment in time that can never be replaced. That's part of the rarity and mystery of good painting. NOTE: Painting is extremely well packaged for safe shipping.
