Ellen in the sun Painting

I painted this work in the garden of a friend of mine. We hired model Ellen with our model drawing group on a sunny day in july. The material I used is oil on canvas. I love to work with oil because it gives such a warm, vibrant and alive feel to a painting. The image of the painting is also painted on the sides of the canvas so you can look at the painting from all angels. My style is inspired by my thoughts about happiness, the good life and relaxation. When I paint with concentration it is like meditation for me and I hope that this feeling of tranquility transfers to whom ever looks at the painting.
