Drawing from childhood memories of freedom and the tension between personal desire and societal boundaries, DONGZADONGHWI creates visual expressions that are both intimate and universal. Working across painting, moving image, and animation, the artist transforms emotional energy into layered, symbolic forms. A recurring motif in his work is the “Bird”—a character that embodies raw emotion, silent transformation, and empathetic connection.
