The artwork titled "Enchant Me" features a dark green, almost foreboding background, with expressive, raw brushstrokes. At the center, a large hand, drawn in an outline with thin lines, is manipulating a simplistic figure like a marionette. The figure, sketched with minimal detail, hangs suspended by strings, representing vulnerability or control. Above and to the right of the figure, the word "ENCHANT" is boldly written in white, fragmented with parts of the letters slightly overlapped or obscured by the strings. The word "ME" is written below, smaller and in black, creating a sense of submissiveness or pleading. Two striking yellow, fiery forms, created with thick layers of paint, rise from the bottom of the canvas, resembling flames or twisted organic shapes. These elements add a sense of chaos or danger, contrasting the puppet-like figure's vulnerability. In the bottom left corner, a small, red triangular sign with an exclamation mark hints at a warning or hazard, adding to the ambiguous, unsettling atmosphere of the work. The overall piece conveys a feeling of manipulation, control, and the tension between power and submission, with the puppet's fragility emphasized by the looming, powerful hand and the abstract, chaotic forces surrounding it.

Tom engages with an eclectic range of images taken from the everyday, books, art history, and television. By funnelling a broad range of source material onto the canvas, the work oozes ambiguity. Although Tom is extremely selective with his choice of word and image, he combines them in such a way to blur any apparent meaning, allowing for a unique and individual voyage into the deep void created by the multitude of layers of paint and newspaper on the canvas. Tom’s work orbits around anti-capitalist themes as his bombastic brush strokes become an expression of detest towards powers of corruption. Tom’s work is a protest against the spiritually depraved world we live in and aims to sustain and invigorate the culture of art he is so infatuated by. Tom is a London-based artist who is a graduate from the University of Brighton and is currently studying a masters at UAL: Camberwell.
