This painting is part of my Visual Jazz Series, paintings that are purely inspired by music. Synaesthesia helps in the process, but a sensibility to musical improvs, cadences and rythms has been built over the years and that gets translated visually into my work as well. This painting has been exhibited in following individual exhibitions: "A Jazz Affair" (Naples Arts Association in conjuntion with the Naples World Festival 2016, Naples, Florida, USA). This particular work was inspired, and is dedicated to Thelonious Monk´s "Epistrophy". As always it is a mix of acrylic, oil based paints (solid and sprays), and printing inks.
