"Espérance" (Hope), contemporary expressionist portrait made in mixed media; with acrylic paint, spray paint and oil pastel on linen canvas, mounted on a chassis. This work is part of my series of women with flowers. Natural beauty, both fragile and ephemeral. Looking towards the future, a feeling of softness and delicacy emanates from her face. The touch is varied and expressionist. Use of a predominantly warm color palette dominated by pinks, oranges and reds, enhanced by touches of blue. A glossy varnish is applied to the canvas.
