"Ethereal Transition" is an oil on canvas painting, measuring 110x167 cm, designed to captivate and inspire from any orientation. Central to the composition is a woman either flying or falling, depending on the viewer's perspective. Her form is gracefully enveloped in a semi-transparent veil, accentuating her ethereal presence. Her dynamic, flowing hair transforms based on the painting's orientation, evoking clouds, water, or even wind, symbolizing the fluidity and interconnectedness of elements. This duality invites viewers to explore themes of change and perception, as the painting adapts and shifts its meaning with each turn. Reaching from one corner of the canvas, another hand extends toward her outstretched fingers, capturing a moment of near connection. This subtle yet powerful detail adds depth to the narrative, suggesting themes of support and the human desire for connection. The palette of sky blue and brownish beige blends the serenity of the heavens with the grounding essence of the earth, enhancing the sense of transition and fluidity. "Ethereal Transition" explores the delicate balance between ascent and descent, connection and separation, and the constant flux of human experience. The woman's ambiguous state reflects transitional moments in life where direction is uncertain, and perspective shapes reality. The semi-transparent veil signifies the thin barrier between different states of being, emphasizing the fluid nature of identity and existence. Her transforming hair underscores adaptability and the seamless integration of different elements within the human experience. Ultimately, "Ethereal Transition" is a meditation on the beauty of change, the power of perspective, and the enduring quest for connection. The painting invites viewers to embrace life's fluidity, recognizing that every transition, whether perceived as ascent or descent, holds the potential for growth, discovery, and meaningful connection.

Yana Pagul, a Dubai-based figurative artist, was born in 1995 in Southern Russia – Krasnodar. Since 2013, Yana has lived and worked in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where the key style of her art was born and developed. Yana's artistic style is characterized by her painstaking work with oils on canvas. Each painting is created in multiple stages, starting with a charcoal sketch, underpainting, and a few layers of color, to make her artworks deeper, but at the same time with very soft and smooth shadows, and edgy thin contours. Her palette is often limited, with black, white, grey, beige, and occasional hints of brown forming the basis of her compositions, and no more than one extra color. Her subjects are primarily women, depicted in a style that transcends realism, aiming to capture the essence of the human soul rather than mere physical beauty. Drawing inspiration from her own life experiences, Yana's paintings reflect universal themes and inner dilemmas that resonate with viewers on a profound level. As Yana continues to refine her craft, her goal remains simple yet profound: to evoke emotion, provoke thought, and inspire connection through her art. With each brushstroke, she invites viewers into a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur, leaving an indelible mark on those who encounter her work.
