This picture belongs to a series of pictures (15 pieces), which were painted with high quality lacquer colors on plywood panels. The pictures - painted in the period from June - October 2019 - are glued to a frame sub-structure and thus ready to hang. The edges are painted white. The format of the pictures in this series is 33 x 24,7 3,5 cm. Each painting is signed on the back. All pictures in this series are the result of a very intensive, intuitive painting process. They are individually crafted works of art and not industrial products. For this reason, small dust particles, streaks of paint or other deposits may be in the color surface of some pictures. This is exactly what gives the surface structure and what makes these works so very special. The surface of some paintings of this series is high gloss of some others it is semi gloss. A signed Certificate of Authenticity will also be included with the painting. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to get more information. © 2020 Michael T. Pfaud. All rights reserved.

"Unseen realities" - Michael T. Pfaud`s works are created in intuitive painting processes using very own techniques and highly pigmented colors. - "I usually start with a fast and targeted work process based on a color concept. During the painting process I try to develop the image content step by step, always taking care to keep the control of what`s happening on the canvas." - Mostly Pfaud`s paintings evolve and change in multiple repeated - or even partial - overpaintings. - "By fast work processes and - sometimes - the method of trial and error, regarding to my painting techniques, inevitably arise a lot of pictures in a short time. These paintings are then reworked until they are coherent in color and dynamics." - From the late 1990s to the years up to about 2012, Pfaud saw no purpose in depicting an existing reality. His intention was to create a new, never seen dynamic reality in a playful way during the painting process. " In the paintings from the period 2008 - 2014, I tried to create realistic-appearing scenarios of absolute non-representativeness - or just little representativeness , which are supposed to trigger associative processes at the viewer." - Since about 2002, in addition to classical painting, Michael T. Pfaud works with his own digital photo material, which he edits on computers and creates completely independent picture worlds from it. - "During these computer-based workings with my photographic material, my self-developed digital structures and any kind of scans in the last years, more and more representational picture motives or picture motives with traces of representativeness emerged." - Currently - in addition to his free paintings - Pfaud transfers his computer - generated images to canvas in painting techniques. - "I usually work with self-made, high pigmented acrylic colours, sometimes but rarely with oil colors." - Pfaud also works as a composer and music producer.
