About The Artwork
This is one of four paintings titled "European Folklore". They are pointing on common elements of all european people where different language does not matter: Music, sports, humor etc.. And of course they are not straight forward. There is some cryptic, maybe funny, grotesque, surreal aspects in it. This one refers on humor. This painting is done with great effort and detail with lots of layers of colour (in the style of the old masters). It is on plywood and has a frame which provides means for hanging.
