Dyptich (2 x 100 x 70 cm). A lanscape capturing the serenity, the power and the spirituality of a sunset or a sunrise, and the responsability and freedom each has towards his/her own journey. The artist applied sand mixed with gesso to create an expressive texture in the foreground of the painting. She then used various layers of glazing, thin layers of painting and medium, to render a feeling of dream, delicacy and depth. It is also inspired by J.M. Turner’s work. The composition of the painting is based on the gold number ratio, for infinite harmony. « Born into creation Drawn towards the light With blind imagination we go swimming in the night And the guiding star of fate shines for our mortality Every soul's a sailor Rolling on the sea….” (Every Soul’s a Sailor, song by Stephen Fearing). This artwork is original and unique. It is signed at the back by the artist Cæsiliæ. Ready to hang. Not framed. Oil on canvas and sand (from Argentina).
