Painting: Household, Oil on Other, Paper.
From a 17 piece series using fragments from a paper shredder. Concealing identity is a safeguard against theft; I'm curious about how we ourselves conceal, reveal or recreate our identity in different circumstances. I love the repetitive shape of the shredded paper, suggesting the common threads between people and at the same time the unique positioning of paper in each work, as if there might be a myriad of ways in which individuals differ from one another and countless possibilities for ways of seeing ourselves. The lines that map our inner world are constantly realigning.
