“Ewe / let’s build a fire.” This work explores the tension between vulnerability and power, sacrifice and ritual. Against a background of searing red, a central figure emerges—ambiguous and raw, like a half-burned mask or a sacred relic mid-transformation. The swirling strokes of white and black res...

I am a conceptual, self-taught artist working across photography, painting, writing, and music. My work explores fundamental questions of identity, existence, and trauma, while examining the social constructs that shape our understanding of taboo. I move between traditional mediums and digital tools, combining material, image, and sound to expose the fractures that form the human experience. The portraits I create are not merely depictions of faces—they are remnants of lost gazes, silent testimonies to wounds without names. They reveal what lies beneath the mirror, what society prefers to hide: the broken, unfinished parts of the self. These faces carry scars, secrets, and emotional maps leading deep into the psyche, where individuality and proportion shift into something unfamiliar. I create as a way of digesting the world—an act of survival in the face of anxiety. Many of the figures I paint are women, reflecting my personal attempt to process childhood traumas I witnessed at home. These feminine faces are quiet yet painful gestures, trying to give voice and beauty to what was once silenced and harmed. My visual language draws inspiration from the fluid gestures of Chinese calligraphy and the raw immediacy of street graffiti. These influences—one rooted in tradition and discipline, the other in rebellion and urgency—merge in my work to express the constant tension between control and collapse, between the refined and the unruly. In every medium I touch, I seek not perfection but disruption—where vulnerability becomes vision, and pain becomes form.
