Exploration Of Blue (part 2) Painting

Diptych representing two different sequences (that seem like carbon copies) but that overlap. The scene is like the set of a theater stage on which elements have been added or subtracted. The view is bottom up. In the foreground, there is a hollow tree trunk, which fills three quarters of the space, and in the background, the sky. In the first panel (part 1), branches surround a seated child. The seated posture of the child contrasts with the movement of the branches, which almost push him so that he falls on the observer. In the second panel (part 2), there are no branches, the child is coiled in the hollow tree trunk, and he does not sit anymore but leans stomach on the trunk. The head is in a space or time that we can only imagine. The child is in osmosis with the tree, and is indifferent to the observer, he is attracted by the other side of the tree. This game of magnets between the first panel and the second suggest the very fabric of exploration.
