« Extérieur N°28 » présente un olivier dans la région de Nyons en Drôme Provençal. Un seul arbre, majestueux, au tronc tourmenté, baigné de lumière. La palette chromatique est réduite au noir, ocre jaune et jaune pale. Nature sauvage et primordiale et pourtant domestiquée. L’olivier est certainement l’arbre qui représente le plus justement la Provence, il pousse dans un sol aride et préfère la pierre à la bonne terre.

Patrice Lannoy is a painter, visual artist, graphic designer based in France. He studied 4 years at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués in Paris, class of 1969 and at the New Arts Lab (IRAT Institute for Research in Art and Technology) in London, 1970. His creations have been exhibited nationally, as well as than in Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, United Kingdom, Italy, and Lebanon. He describes his artistic expression as coming from an indefinite shadow that takes shape through light. Lannoy's figurative works depict places-imprints where time condenses into the instant.
