Extra space Painting

I like to pick a process and let it play out. Here I wanted to see how long a line I could make with a so-called comb brush before the line broke up or consolidated. When the transition occurred, I stopped, lifted the brush, reloaded paint, and continued on -- but leaving a space between the new stroke and the old. The path of the strokes was intuitive. I kept it simple and horizontal until that became untenable, and then I did something else. And so on. Finally, when I had filled the paper, I went back and covered the transition spots and "flaws" in the lines with rectangles of the same color.
