About The Artwork
The painting is part of the unfinished series 'portraits of the self'. I confess that I was drawn to this subject in the hope of answering more narrow and practical questions the broader vision of who we are. What really fascinates me is the environment around us, everything in which everything flows miraculously and magically. An spectacle in which the absence of time is also a possibility. This firm and solid figure represents the existence of the Self / Ego. On the upper part of the head, on the forehead is represented a green plant as a symbol of life, renewal, nature, and energy, the green is associated with meanings of growth, fertility, freshness, safety, environment and harmony. On the other hand the green colour also represents money, ambition, jealousy and greed.
