FERTILITY GODDESS Painting

My name is Anastasia Lemza, I am an artist from St. Petersburg, Russia. My love for drawing and painting was born with me. As far back as I can remember, I have always drawn. Creativity is my life I draw my inspiration from the reality around me and the work of other artists. I really love art. When I paint, I immerse myself in a special meditative state, allowing instinct to guide the creative process. In my painting, I prefer pure, local and vibrant colors, lines, contours and abstract forms. The development of my expressive language and style was also influenced by my studies in the arts and crafts department at the Art College in Siberia - that’s where I found my love for decorative abstract forms and formal composition. From the age of 4 I attended the art studios, at the age of 15 I graduated from the art school at the Art College and have 2 degrees. In 2006 received a specialty artist-master, specializing in textiles, at an art college. In 2013 - I graduated from an art institute, majoring in design. These two backgrounds eventually allowed me to become an independent artist. Since studying at the institute, I have created many works and I am not going to stop there. I study every day, with each new work my professionalism as an artist grows. There is a separate workshop in my apartment. I mainly work with acrylics and tempera, create a series of collages using oil pastels, sometimes attend master classes by professional artists. All my paintings are finished with a good layer of semi-gloss varnish for vibrant colors and transparent permanent protection for years to come. Each painting is unique. My works are kept in private collections. I participate in international and local exhibitions and this gives me new inspiration in my work.
