The série Forêt noire (Black Forest series) is part of an exploration and questioning of the relationship between man and forest.Constructed by multiple gestural back and forth, of line and withdrawal, of additions, subtractions, superimpositions, scraping and hiding, its composition reveals a process of construction and deconstruction of images. The current production is generated mainly by rhythmic tracings of faded black pigment with a forest-like quality, and stems from the artist's deep-rooted preoccupation with the union with nature.
