FRORE #1 Painting

Frore This painting is a part of a series I’m working on that studies the quite struggle and beauty that plays out in a frozen landscape and the parallel to the fragile human condition. Life struggles to survive under a suffocating blanket of snow. Nature is still , quite , barley drawing breath. Is it calm and secure in the knowledge that the suns warmth will once again allow it to breath new life ? Or is it numb to all but its own current state. We as humans can at times feel this numbness, sometimes barley breathing, living on auto pilot. Then if we are lucky someone special that perhaps has a glimpse of themselves in us, will harness the sun, even burning themselves in order to draw it nearer allowing us to thaw and exhale. So we can also draw fresh, life giving oxygen. Allowing for a new opportunity to grow.
