I intend to tell stories of human interaction in this diptych. The small pieces of paper and cardboard of different thickness portray various facial expressions in pencil and pastel: some laugh, some sing, some wonder, some sleep. Whatever the mood, I aim to celebrate life. The painting is composed of an acrylic color base plus several layers of water-based paints, alternated with dripping to obtain a crackle effect typical of ceramics (craquelé). This technique allows the surface to play with the light during the different stages of the day. The paper and cardboard are attached to the canvas with a specific glue for optimal resistance. I sprayed a fixative on the surface to keep the graphite rendering unaltered. The artwork is ready to be hanged. A frame is not needed. I suggest displaying the three parts spaced by a maximum of 1 cm from each other. Surprise! Among the multitude of human expressions, there is a cat face. I invite you to find it. Have fun!

I was born near Venice in 1973. I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice with a Major in Painting. I currently live in Padua, where I have my atelier. Nature and people are what inspire me the most. With my art, I intend to tell stories of human interaction. I paint mostly on the ground, using water-based varnish primarily. I alternate dense filaments of colors and soft veils of water. Drying times vary depending on the weather, due to this, each painting has its particular process, which I like to trust. I also design site-specific installations in urban areas with the same element of chance. The public is actively involved in the work. Brushes and canvas are replaced with the architectural space, the items and the people. The topics are current events, ranging from climate change to active citizenship. Whatever the artistic expression, I intend to celebrate life! My paintings are exposed mostly in private places and companies, my installation are running in urban space across Europe.
