About The Artwork
The guide takes the fly fishermen back to Farquhar island by skiff early in the morning. They spent one week onboard the Sea Shell, a two-masted sailing vessel, to fish the flats of Providence Atoll which belongs to the Seychelles, in the Indian Ocean. This large panoramic painting is inspired from a photo I shot from another skiff, cruising alongside. Dawn in the Indian Ocean produces stunning colors in blues, greys and pinks in spectacular cloud formations. The large panoramic format makes this piece perfect to hang over a desk, a drawer cupboard or above a bed. Painted with Winsor & Newton professional quality acrylics on cotton canvas, on a 3D pine strecher (4 cm thick). Protected by 4 layers of glossy acrylic varnish. Finished sides, stainless steel wire. ready to hang.
