The Peacock. Inspired by the same bird that continue to draw admiration for its beauty and simplicity.

My aim to portray a constant battle between different colors for the observer's attention. Each color is saying: "look at me instead" and even the background color is saying: "these other colors are nothing without me".

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

My name is Marc Alexis. I grew up in Haiti and I'm the youngest in a family of 6 children. Very early on, probably around the age of 3, I started to draw and I remember one of my older sisters taking notice of it. Unfortunately, growing up, we didn't have much. Taking art classes would have been a luxury and so I could only learn from what I could see in my immediate environment. All I could afford for my art were paper scraps and leftover pencils that had been thrown away when they get too short and can't be held by bigger fingers. One day, someone gave me some leftover paint from a house job. I found a paint brush in that same painter's tool box and used and I started to paint.
