ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"You Made the Moon" Series To start painting again after 5 years since I had my son, I’ve decided to go back to somewhere my original starting point, especially the color. And removed all tiny detailed decorations which I don’t need them anymore since the priority of my life has changed and became simple. This indigo is the color of the night. I was always up at night, the nighttime was my time. Before my son was born, I’ve painted, read, think, drink, watch, and work at night. And since the night my son was born, I’m still up at night, feed, change, hold, worry, cry, regret, cuddle and being extremely happy. And sometime I watch outside from my window at night and wonder how many mothers or fathers are up and what they think right now. This pale but warm white is the lights from the windows I see from my window, and the moonlight. My son said “Ah, you made the moon,” when he saw my new work after he came back from school. So I titled my work as he said.
